Early Thaw

"I rejoice in the spring, as though no spring had ever been." -- Theodore Roethke

I'm not trying to jump the gun, here. It's too early to declare spring in the Northeastern US. March snowstorms can be terrible, and April can be rainy and dark.

But today was a gift, and I have been having the most relaxing, rejuvenating weekend adventures with some gal pals lately.

Today the weather reached the 50s, and when I felt some strong sun on my skin I could have cried. There's still snow on the ground, though it is melting. I couldn't wait--I went on a walk with some fellow adventurers.

This isn't weather-related, but look at these gorgeous pancakes:

One strawberry, one pecan, one s'more pancakes
