Pressing the Seams

Months after starting Ugly Quilt, I picked up The Patchwork Girl of Oz by L. Frank Baum. In this tale of Oz, a rag doll is made purposefully ugly and mismatched, then brought to life to be a servant. But Scraps comes to life with common sense, wits, and a will of her own, and doesn't mind being called ugly.

That's the spirit of my quilt!

I'm finally done hand-stitching the blocks, so I got my act together to press the seams and sew the rows together with a sewing machine.

More updates soon...
