Wow, those girls really love America!

I forgot we had a long weekend coming up... it's been a pleasant surprise.

In our family, we like guests to feel welcomed. Thursday night the kids sat around doing a crossword puzzle, drinking Miller Lite. And one friend was so comfortable that he let his socks hang low--so that they felt like ankle socks, even though they were tube socks.

This is what hospitality is all about:

In the car with some barbarians, barreling to a family party, blasting Mastodon.

We will NEVER take enough cousin selfies. NEVER.

We've been having some serious thunderstorms all week, but one friend group decided to make it to Long Branch, NJ, to try to catch some fireworks.

Our driver kept her shoes off for the journey, which I loved:

This is just a great series:

OK, on with the night!

I don't know who these people are, but they were dancing through the streets and it made us say, "Wow, those girls really love America!"
